Quality Technologist

Our client a global supplier of Ingredients, Flavours, Blending and contract manufacturing solutions for the Food and beverage industries is seeking an experienced Quality Technologist for their office in Kent. This will be a 4 on/4 off, 6am-6pm role and the successful candidate will need to have a driving licence.

This is based in Aylesford, Kent with a negotiable salary!

Some key role responsibilities:

  • Coordinate concession, pre-shipment samples and urgent orders with customer support team
  • Flag any analytical failures (OOS results) to the rest of the operational team
  • Coordinate the majority of document control activities after Quality and Food Safety Managers approval
  • Participate to GMP and hygiene Audits plan and weekly environmental and allergen swabs in production
  • Support validation activities (allergen, homogeneity, cleaning, shelf-life)
  • Carry out some of the site pre-requisite controls such as temperature and humidity records
  • Verifying batch documents and labels prior to releasing them to production for manufacture
  • Collating analysis results and positively releasing finished product
  • Assist with induction training for new starters in production and Quality

Export Operative

A new position is available for an Export Operative to join this well established SME Freight forwarding agent based in Colnbrook. The Export Operative will assist with the smooth running of the department. Plenty of opportunity for future progression.

Working 09:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, including a 1hr paid break per day.

£30-35k DOE plus overtime

Some key role responsibilities:

  • Ensure all export shipments are collected by the correct vehicle, the documentation is in order and exported to the client`s satisfaction (air, sea & road).
  • Ensure custom entries are completed correctly using the correct CPC code and the entry is scanned to the NES Folder, along with scanning all relevant Export Documents to file.
  • Completion of Customs paperwork – Air, Sea & Road.
  • Complete quotations for new and existing clients – Commercial and Overseas.
  • Send flight details to the client by Email and ensure the foreign agent is pre-alerted with full details and copy documents.
  • Ascertain the urgency of the shipment and decide the routing accordingly.

    Some Essential Skills and Experience

  • Recent experience of working within an Export environment.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadline.
  • Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

    Some Desirable Skills

    • Experience in a recent Export Operative position.
    • Experience of Boxtop and/or eCustoms (training can be provided).
    • Knowledge of the local area.

    This well established Fine Art Shipper have a new position available for a Art Technician/Handler based at Heathrow, previous experience is required.

    Some key role responsibilities

    -To provide warehousing, storage, art handling, art packing, collection, delivery, and installation services.

    Logistics and Supply Chain Associate

    A leading global supplier of Ingredients and Premix manufacturing solutions for the Food, Beverage and Nutrition industries is seeking and experienced Logistics and Supply Chain Associate.

    The Key Accountabilities will be

    • Maintain accurate records of all import transactions via the e filing system.
    • Processing import, export and cross trade operations from start to finish including processing shipping documents, sending customs clearance instructions and delivery of goods and documents to the warehouse/client.
    • Liaise with the forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant import regulations and procedures.
    • Handling Non-Conformances

    The Core Competencies and Person Specification

    • Experience in International Trade/Logistics (Shipping, X-Trades, Exports, Imports)
    • Experience working with Shipping Lines and Forwarding agents in different modes of transportation (Sea and Air)
    • Knowledgeable of the Customs Clearances procedures within EU and UK
    • Experience fulfilling Export requirements with regards to documentation (COA, COO, Health Certificates, inspections etc.)
    • Solid knowledge of Exports to different countries (Middle East, Africa, South America)`

    Some Essential Skills and Experience:

    Our client (food industry) are based in Park Royal and has a new opportunity available for a Transport Planner.

    The Transport Planner will be required to have previous experience of transport planning to include; transport regulations, routes, and local traffic patterns, must have excellent communication skills along with a positive and can-do attitude. CPC/Class 2 licence is essential.

    Employment Terms for the Transport Planner

    • 44 hr week
    • M-F 6am-3pm/OR 7am-4pm
    • Sat – 6am-11am

    Some Responsibilities for the Transport Planner
