Import Customs Clerk

Some Key Resposibilities

  • Creating and building job files.
  • Tracking and monitoring import pre alerts.
  • Must be proficient in preparing and submitting customs import entries and CDS knowledge.
  • Have a basic all round knowledge of customs procedure codes.
  • Confident speaking too and dealing with airlines and ground handling agents.
  • Arranging airline and bond collection with hauliers for ultimate onward delivery to end client either on an overnight or dedicated delivery dependent on client’s needs.

  • Air Imports, Customs inc. CDS, Good comms & IT skills

Employment Terms

  • Mon-Fri 9-5.30
  • £25-32k plus occasional out of hours

Freight Forwarding Operator – Live Events

Some Key Resposibilities

  • Responsible for quotes, both airfreight and oceanfreight, imports and exports, including cross trade shipments.
  • Preparing and processing export documentation including MAWB, HAWB and security documents.
  • Import and export customs clearances under ATA carnet, Temporary imports and exports.
  • Attending site at the biggest music and sports events all over the world to monitor unload/load of ocean containers/trucks for events.

Some Skills & Requirements

  • Freight Forwarding Ops and Customs knowledge essential
  • Keen interest in Live Events and/or music
  • Car Driver
  • Steady employment with ideally no gaps and able to pass a CLEAR criminal record check

Employment Terms

  • Salary is negotiable and depends on level of experience, £30-40k
  • Benefits – 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, healthcare after 1 year
  • Monday – Friday 9-5.30 1/3 weekend cover (paid)

Transport Planner

Some Key Resposibilities

  • To route plan available vehicles to meet the collections and deliveries in the UK.
  • To allocate available resources the most appropriate staff members to crew the vehicles.
  • Ensure that all collection and delivery notes provide sufficient information for appropriate allocation to vehicles, also that they contain the information required by road crews to complete the tasks correctly.
  • Liaise and be the point of contact for all UK road crews, responding to any queries that arise and seek solutions to any difficulties that may arise.

Some Skills & Requirements

  • Previous UK Transport planning from a within a Freight/Logistics industry is essential
  • Excellent UK Geographical knowledge
  • Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
  • Car Driver with own transport
  • Able to work as part of a team of 3
  • Working closely with warehouse department
  • Dealing with general cargo, “white glove” traffic, installations, technical logistics, bespoke logistics

Quality Supervisor (Supplier)

Some Key Resposibilities

  • Coordinate and lead different phases of the approval process including documentation, RM assessments, organizing external testing, risk assessments, audit recommendations and approval
  • Design, implement and monitor purchasing specification for new RM & update existing ones where appropriate
  • Perform annual risk assessment for RM and lead RM analytical monitoring and Supplier monitoring audits with the Quality Department
  • Manage site and raw material Halal and Kosher status
  • Provide training where required on topics relating to approvals and monitoring.

Some Skills & Requirements

The successful candidate must have a great understanding of Quality requirements and standard in the Food industry (FSSC (or other GFSI), HACCP, VACCP). At least 4 years experience within a Quality, Technical or R&D role within the Food industry. Great attention to detail and have excellent written and oral communication skills. European Operations Coordinator

Some Key Resposibilities

  • Extensive client liaison, building relationships and maximising the potential of the European Road freight client’s business.
  • Extensive supplier liaison to develop reliable and cost effective European services.
  • Calculating freight quotations for export and import freight shipments.
  • Completing operational administration including job cards and sending booking confirmation to the suppliers.
  • Raising all of the appropriate operational documentation including customs clearance formalities.

Some Skills & Requirements

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience within the Freight Forwarding industry and particularly in European Road Freight. Will have a strong understanding of the post Brexit European Customs Clearance requirements. You will be confident and have clear communication skills and a proven success of building customer and supplier relationships.
