Technical Support Specialist

Our client has an exciting position available for a new member to join their team. They are recruiting for a Technical Support Specialist with the drive and passion to help achieve member goals whilst providing the highest levels of customer service.

Our client is a well-known Software Company whose roots stretch back to the 1980’s, they develop in-house and support cost-effective, business critical software to match their customers complex requirements as well as playing a leading role in representing forwarders interests in discussions with both government and industry bodies.

What we need from you

  • Experience of inputting Import & Export entries preferably using Sequoia (any comparable system is adequate as training will be given where needed).
  • Be able to deal with customs clearance processes for import / export and any issues that may arise
  • Good general IT knowledge
  • Freight forwarding ops knowledge preferable

Employment Terms

  • Basic Salary of £30-35k (NEG. DOE)

  • Monday – Friday 8 hr day (working a staggered shift on a shared rota between 8am-7pm) Hybrid role, Mon & Fri WFH

Quality Technologist

An experienced Quality Technologist is required by our client a leading global Distribution company based in Kent. The main duties and responsibilities will be:

What we need from you

  • Flag any analytical failures (OOS results) to the rest of the operational team.
  • Coordinate concession, pre-shipment samples and urgent orders with customer support team.
  • Conduct GMP, hygiene and glass audits and conduct environmental and allergen swabs in production to schedule.
  • Support validation activities (allergen, homogeneity, cleaning, shelf-life).
  • Carry out some of the site pre-requisite controls such as temperature and humidity records.
  • Verifying batch documents and labels prior to releasing them to production for manufacture.
  • Collating analysis results and positively releasing finished product on time.

The successful candidate will be organised and methodical and have knowledge in a similar role with a background within the Food industry or Pharmaceutical. You will have great verbal and written communication skills and be able to pay attention to detail and focus on Quality. Will be assertive and confident and happy to build strong relationships and be happy to share knowledge with colleagues. A team player who is flexible and versatile.

Warehouse Transport Administrator

Our client are a well established Heathrow freight forwarding agent who have an exciting opportunity for a challenging and rewarding role that covers both warehouse operations and transport administration. Based out of their central Slough Contract Logistics Centre the position is for a Warehouse Transport Administrator. This is a rare opportunity to work an early shift 6am-2.30pm M/F.

Role Specific Responsibilities For the Warehouse Transport Administrator

  • Follow laid out working procedures to ensure effective transport planning of domestic pallet movements for pallet network.
  • Support operational KPI’s on TMS program.
  • Support issues as and when they arise.
  • Liaison with Pallet network hub and depots
  • Ensure effective and efficient loading of pallets together with drivers and other warehouse operatives to ensure customer service levels are met
  • Working closely with drivers to ensure that they are able to depart with accurate and efficient load plan and location listings

What we need from you

  • Methodical approach to work with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow systematically laid out working procedures
  • PC Literacy essential
  • Highly organised and excellent time management

Accounts Assistant

A new opportunity is available with this established Global Supply Chain Logistics Provider based in central Windsor for an Accounts Assistant, will consider candidates who have at least 1 years experience upwards, ideally of AP. Offering excellent benefits, further, training, further progression and working conditions within a friendly accounts team. Any previous accounting experience gained from within the freight/logistics or shipping industries would be advantageous.

What we need from you

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English
  • Desirable; Professional qualification – Minimum Part qualified in recognized accounting qualification. (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Professional experience – experience working in a fast paced accounting department with demonstrable experience of posting Journals, Accounts payable and reporting

Skills Required

  • IT skills – Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook and Accounting
  • Experience in Accounting Software e.g. (Cargowise desirable) sage/Oracle/etc.
  • Ability and flexibility to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Organised – the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and to prioritise work load and self- manage when required
