A new position is available for a Support Worker, fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in social care for young vulnerable adults.

Previous social care experience is preferred, must be able to communicate with young, vulnerable adults. (youth work/care industry background ideally) Training is provided.


POSITION: Full-Time Support Worker Surrey

Responsible to Line Manager.

Job purpose: To provide housing management and support for residents in their personal and social development in order to enable them to move onto independent living and accommodation


To be able to build appropriate relationships with young people and form good communications.

To be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, young people and their families as well as other professional organisations and stakeholders.

To be able to follow all safeguarding procedures and to ensure the safety and welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

The ability to communicate well with team colleagues and others.

The ability to write clear, accurate, concise records and reports on a computer.

UK driving license and use of a suitable and safe car for work, which is covered by business insurance.

Emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours, maintenance of professional boundaries and ability to maintain

Experience of working within a caring environment and the ability to show empathy.

Experience of working with children/adolescents.

Good IT skills-use of excel, word, outcomes stars and other packages for which training will be given.


·Hours of work are an average of 40 hours per week, there will be a requirement that you must be flexible in the hours that you work. There will be some occasional evening and weekend duties dependent on the needs of young people using our service and as dictated by the needs of the business. Some "On Call" duties. (1 per month weekend day either a Sat/Sun with a day off in lieu during the week)

·Holiday entitlement:20days per annum(Plus statutory Bank Holidays).

An additional days holiday will be awarded after 2 years service and each year thereafter up to a maximum of 25 days. Each year you will be awarded your Birthday as a leave day.

·A company mobile and laptop will be provided

·The car must be safe and suitable and have valid business use insurance, tax and MOT

·Mileage paid in line with Government levels.

·Company pension 5% of basic salary.

  • £18-23k Bonus (Basic £18-21,500 plus £1200 car usage plus mileage)
